A book comprised of two large series of photographs on the same topic: the motorcycle. The first part, in matte paper, picks up from the first snapshots that Alberto García-Alix took in 1975 during a motocross race in which his brother participated, until those made in 2007.
The second part of the book, on glossy paper, brings together a new series of unpublished photographs, taken between 2013 and 2015, with which the author, looking for his own limits, initiates a renewed photographic discourse on the motorcycle, using a more abstract and allegorical view of the image.
The thread that connects both series is an autobiographical text where García-Alix narrates in the first person his relationship with the motorcycle and multiple experiences and anecdotes that leave the reader with a desire of “to do a wheelie” and “to become intoxicated by the smell of castor oil and the roar of engines”.
