ALBERTO GARCÍA-ALIX BOX

Brought together within the presentation of a carefully-constructed box are three slideshows—or audiovisual works—in DVD format, created by Alberto García-Alix and featuring original music by Melingo: Of Flesh and Blood, a forty-minute slideshow that premiered in Les Rencontres Internationales in Arles (France); The closest I’ve been to paradise, a twenty-five-minute audiovisual created specifically for the Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Palma, in which García-Alix compiles the photographic material he has made in the Balearic Islands, especially in Formentera; A perpetual flight, the last of the three audio-visual pieces is 10 minutes in length. It was originally created as the central work of the newspaper stand of El País at the International Contemporary Art Fair (ARCO 09).

In addition to the three audiovisuals, the box includes posters with photos of García-Alix.
