
27 Mar Alberto García-Alix, speaker at the 20th anniversary of MUSAC
Alberto García-Alix will present his visual lecture “Absence as a Stimulus” at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Castilla y León (MUSAC) next Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the 20th anniversary of the museum’s opening in the capital of León. This event is part of the special program the museum has prepared to celebrate its anniversary, which includes two new exhibitions, dance, guided tours, and several lectures.
In his conference “Absence as a Stimulus”, García-Alix reflects on how absence, its existence, and its vital stimulus influence and are reflected in his work, serving as a guiding thread and catalyst in his photographs. Interspersed with the text of his lecture, he presents sixty-eight images, most of which have never been seen before and taken over the last fifteen years.
