26 Jul Exhibition at Boca del Calvari Museum in Benidorm

The photographer Alberto García-Alix exhibits a set of 44 photographs at Boca del Calvari Municipal Museum in Benidorm (Alicante), under the title “Under this light that drags my gaze into the shadows”. It’s a reduced selection from the exhibition that the author carried out in 2007 at the Reina Sofía National Museum, entitled “From where there is no return”, which had two hundred photographs and reviewed his work from 1976 to 2007.

Regarding this selection of images, García-Alix comments that «shown here, without following a chronological order, they bring us closer to my universe. There is always a very important autobiographical nuance in my work. They exude intimacy, essence, essay and I would even dare to say spirituality”.

The exhibition, organized by Benidorm City Council, can be visited for free, from July 26th to November 17th, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. More information on the City Council website.
