01 Jun Summer Workshop at La Plantación (Galicia)

Alberto García-Alix will participate in the summer workshops of La Plantación, a cultural project, directed by Elisa Pereira, that since 2014 has been promoting meetings, workshops and experiences around different arts, especially cinema, photography, literature and thought.

Under the title “Observe, photograph, dialogue”, Alberto García-Alix’s photography workshop will be held from July 9 to 17, 2023, in Sober (Lugo). It will take place in Casa Grande de Rosende, a pazo (country house) built in 1511, located in an idyllic setting in the Ribeira Sacra, where the participants will also be accomodated.

The course, with an approximate duration of 30 hours, plus extra activities, is aimed at photographers, amateurs and professionals, students and teachers of photography, Fine Arts, Image, Audiovisual Communication, visual artists, as well as all those people interested in the creative processes.

For six days, the students, guided by Alberto García-Alix, will focus on their personal photographic projects, their photographic practice and viewing of the images. García-Alix will share with the students his personal photographic project, from its beginnings to the present day, and his way of working in photography.
